“The World of Chicago”

Role: Motion Graphics/3D Artist

This 60 second spot was created for Chicago’s NBC 5 for use during the 2012 summer Olympics. A majority of the spot was made from still pictures using a technique called “Photogrammetry” which uses a mix of cut outs/matte painting and 3D to achieve a slow-motion effect. It went on to be nominated for AICE’s best visual effects and win the 2012-2013 Emmy for “Outstanding Achievement for News Promo Single Spot/Campaign”.
